2009 Malbec

Inky dark, the deep garnet color still sports a beautiful clarity with a swirl. Dark berry aromas waft from the glass alongside black plum, a hint of coffee bean, and jam-on-toast. A first sip glides across the palate with velvety texture and a pretty balance of fruit, acid and tannins. This first release of Malbec is lush, full bodied and penetrating on the palate with chewy, currant jam flavors, bright acidity, and a touch of grip on the almost savory finish. Suave in a rustic way.
