Barrel aged for 24 months with 25% new oak, then bottle aged for another year. 100% Cabernet Sauvignon.

Tasting Notes

One of our most age-worthy varietals with great structure and supple tannins. Balanced flavors of black cherry, coffee and dark ripe plum on the palate. On the nose, lingering spice notes followed by strong blackcurrant aromas with just a kiss of vanilla from the barrel age. Buttonwood Cabernet is 100% on its own original rootstock and is one of the original 1983 plantings.
